Straathof Plants BV is an export business that has developed through many years of specialisation in chrysanthemum growing.

The excellent quality of our chrysanthemum cuttings is guaranteed by several factors. First and foremost these products are the result of extensive know-how in the fields of breeding, propagation and innovation.

In addition our chrysanthemum cuttings all originate from ideal production locations in the Netherlands, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and other countries.

Our production centres in the Netherlands, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Uganda, Ethiopia and other countries are all highly efficient and equipped to the latest standards of technology. They are managed by experts from the Netherlands, the world’s leading country in terms of floriculture and cultivation technology. The first class end products promise optimal returns in terms of cropping and profitability. We are valued by our customers because of our Dutch way of doing business: we offer solutions thinking, our deeds reflect our words and we make more possible for our customers.

Network of knowledge

We traditionally maintain close links with the Dümmen Orange Group, global market leader in the sale, breeding, marketing and licensing management of an extensive range of potted and cut chrysanthemums and other ornamental plants. During the years, we have also built deep relationships with other suppliers, such as Florensis Cut Flowers, Schneider Youngplants, Dekker Chrysanten, Floritec and Royal van Zanten. Straathof Young Plants is also the European distributor for outdoors chrysanthemums and summer flowers produced by respected Dutch growers, who belong to a carefully constructed network.

In 2005, Straathof Young Plants acquired Greneth Plants, specialized in the export of young plants to Greece, Eastern Europe and the Middle East. This implied a valuable extension of our network and knowledge. In 2019 the two companies merged into Straathof Young Plants. Together we solve your logistic challenges throughout Europe and far beyond. With our personal approach Straathof Young Plants gives a face to the Dutch market of high quality young plants.
